The Pawn is the lowest-ranking member of the entire hierarchy. It is associated with the number 1 on the numerical die.
In PokerDrez, it moves like in chess, but only if you use a Pawn or Joker card. You will need 8 white pawns and 8 black pawns.
In PokerDrez for 4, the pawn can move like a rook but can only capture other pieces that are in one of the four diagonally adjacent squares. This is only possible if you use a Pawn or Joker card. There is no promotion when it reaches the last rank. You will need one pawn of each of the 4 colors.
In NeuroDrez, the pawn can move like in PokerDrez for 4 (see the previous paragraph) or to a square of the color or resource shown on the dice. To move it, you need a Pawn or Joker card or a roll of 1 or 6 on the numeric die. You will need one pawn for each player.
In VikingDrez, the pawn moves like a rook and captures opponent pieces by trapping them between itself and another friendly pawn. You will need 8 black pawns and 4 white pawns.
